About Us
We are a non-denominational Christian community in Westford, Massachusetts. Our people come from a wide variety of faith backgrounds, but what brings us together is not a label, it’s Jesus. We believe that following Jesus is a lifelong journey, and that's why our mission is simple: Helping People Walk With Jesus. Whether you’re just beginning to explore faith or have been walking with God for years, there’s always a next step, and we’d love to walk with you. At Orchard Church, we aim to remain rooted in the core truths of the Christian faith while being gracious and open-handed about the things on which Christians have often disagreed. We believe God cares more about where you’re headed than your past, and we’re committed to being a community of growth, grace, and honest faith.
MISSION & VALUES
Helping People Walk With Jesus
This simple phrase is at the heart of who we are. Just like an orchard grows one season at a time, we believe following Jesus is a lifelong process of growth, rooted in grace and nurtured through community. Whether you’re planting new spiritual roots, rediscovering faith after a dry season, or bearing fruit in ways that bless others, you’re not meant to walk alone. At Orchard Church, we’re here to walk with you, helping each other become the people God created us to be.

What We Believe
God
We believe in the one true Creator God, who shows God’s self through self-giving love in a communal relationship of oneness displayed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God passionately desires relationship with us and toward this end continually invites us into a relationship of faith, friendship, learning, and service.
Genesis 1; Matthew 3:16–17; Mark 1:10–11; Luke 1:35, 3:22; John 1:32; Hebrews 9:14; Acts 7:55; Romans 8
Bible
We believe that the Bible was written by people guided by God’s Spirit and we affirm what it says it is: authoritative, inspired, illumined by the Spirit and useful for teaching, correcting, and wisdom. God’s unchangeable Biblical message ought to be presented in relevant and contemporary ways, free of religious jargon and understandable to the people of our community.
Psalm 119:105-112; John 16:12-14; 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Humanity
We believe that man was created in the image of God, yet our rebellion against God broke our relationship with God and continues to perpetuate sin, death, brokenness, and destruction in our world. We believe God has not abandoned creation, and in love, sent to earth God’s one and only Son Jesus, fully God and fully human, born of a virgin and without sin to redeem all creation.
Romans 5:12, Colossians 1:21
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus came proclaiming a new arrival of the Kingdom of God–a reality marked by love, grace, peace, and joy. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus defeated sin and death inaugurating a new creation that offers all people eternal life now. Jesus is the only way to access the free gift of grace, renewed peace, and reconciliation with God.
John 1:29; Romans 3:22-26; 5:1-9; Mark 4.26ff; Romans 14:17; 1 Corinthians 4:20; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 21:5
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, sent from God to live inside all who believe in Jesus Christ, empowers us with gifts, convicts, guides, comforts, counsels, and leads us into truth through a communal life of worship and a missional expression of our faith.
John 14:26; 20:21-23; Ephesians 1:17-19; Acts 1:8
Salvation
We believe that through the gift of Jesus' death on the cross our sin and rebellion can be forgiven, and through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ we can be reconciled to God and be given eternal life. You and I can live out our Salvation by having a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ, living for Him and loving others as an expression of our love for God.
Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:13
The Church
We believe that the Church is the living temple of God's Spirit, universal and manifested locally through congregations, companies, and groups of Christ followers, meeting together as the "Bride of Christ for regular fellowship. The Church isn't just a building, it is a people who are devoted to being discipled by Christ and going out into the world and making disciples.
Mt 28:16-20, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Hebrews 10:24-25
Ordinances
We believe that both Baptism and The Lord's Supper are visible expressions of the realities of salvation. We are commanded to faithfully observe them, but we do not depend on them for salvation. If you have not been baptized, we encourage you to reach out to one of our staff and begin prayerfully considering taking that next step in your relationship with God.
1 Peter 3:21, Acts 22:16, Mt 28:16-20, Mt 26:17-29
Last Things
We believe that Christ will return at God's appointed time, and that he will come not only to judge the world, but to restore it to God's original intention. As the church - God's bride, we live for Christ now, but also look forward in hope to the day that Christ will call all his children home to be with Him.
Hebrews 9:28, Mt 25:46, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Acts 1:11, Revelation 20:11-15
OUR STORY
Where We Started
In 1992, five couples from Chelmsford attending Grace Chapel in Lexington, began meeting and praying about planting a new church in the Chelmsford and Westford area. With the blessing of Grace Chapel’s pastors and elders, Grace Community Church was born. We began humbly meeting in borrowed spaces, first at the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Lowell for a year, then in a rented industrial building on Billerica Road in Chelmsford for more than 30 years. During that time, our church faithfully worshiped, served, and grew. Through decades of prayer, generosity, and trust in God’s guidance, we bought 17 acres of land in Westford in 2016 that was once a working orchard. When construction completed in 2025, we finally moved into our new home, and with that move came a new name, Orchard Church.
Our Logo
Our logo might simply be described as a branched tree in a circle symbolizing an orchard. Moreover, in the Bible trees are significant symbols, and the tree in our logo also symbolizes the tree of life (Gen 2:9, Rev 22:2) restored to us through Jesus when he was sacrificed on a "tree" (Deut 21:22, Acts 5:30). Alternatively, the tree could be viewed as a walking trail, with each path converging to a center or true "narrow" path that points to Jesus who is "the way" to life (Gen 3:24, John 14:6). Our logo also consists of five distinct pieces which is a nod to the founding five couples. Therefore, our logo represents where we've been, where we are currently, and where we are going as a community of people walking with Jesus.
