Understanding the Differences
What do Christians actually believe, and why do churches practice their faith so differently today?
This introductory-level class offers a thoughtful, non-confrontational exploration of the shared beliefs and history of Christianity, and the reasons denominations, such as the Catholic and Protestant traditions, developed distinct beliefs and practices over time.
Led by Brianne Reinhardt, the class is designed to create understanding for clarity and unity rather than debate or division, and a deeper, more grounded walk with Jesus, no matter where you’re starting from. It's a single session, to provide a high-level overview of the material, which invites you to go deeper on your own or through other classes, like Alpha.
While this class is especially designed for those with a Catholic background who are attending Orchard Church, it is open to anyone, from any faith background age 16 and older who is curious, questioning, or exploring Christianity.
This class is free, and lunch and childcare will be provided. Please register so we can plan accordingly!
