We Are Writing a Book
Orchard Church is creating a book of faith stories celebrating the ways God works in our lives, and we want to hear your story! Maybe God answered a prayer, provided an unexpected blessing, guided you through a difficult decision, brought comfort during a hard season, or showed up in a way you’ll never forget. Big or small, we want to hear the stories of how God has been at work in your life.
Stories can be written or shared in person, and no writing experience is necessary! Simply tell your story the way you would share it with a friend. There is no maximum word count. Some stories may be short, while others may take more time to tell. Take the space you need to make your story understandable and meaningful.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Choose a specific title. Give your story a title that helps readers identify what it’s about. Trusting God could apply to many stories, while something like Flat Tires and Practicing Gratitude gives readers a better idea of the story they’re about to read.
Have related stories? If you have separate stories that are connected, you can group them together as multiple parts. For example:
Finding My Husband Part I: Choosing a College
Finding My Husband Part II: Fourth Floor
Children can participate, too! Children often have wonderful faith stories, and we would love to hear them. If your child is submitting a story, please include their age.
Have more than one story? Send them all! If you have several meaningful stories of God working in your life, don’t feel like you have to choose just one. We want to hear them!
Submit Your Story
Please submit your story by February 28, 2027, to Joni Lavoie at joninate@comcast.net.
We're also looking for people who would like to help with the book title, cover art, and proofreading.
Please complete the form below to let us know how you’d like to help with the project:
